Culture Week Returns

Central High School will be celebrating culture week starting Monday September 25th, with a larger celebration on Friday the 29th. The celebration will feature cultural performances, as well as lots of food and drinks.

Central High School has celebrated Culture Week since 2021, when it was first put together by ASBEC. In the years since, PowerPeers has taken on organizing the event. Last year it featured informative posters highlighting different cultures, Taiko drumming courtesy of Monmouth Taiko, food samples from different cultures, as well as Central staff members representing their personal cultures. We can expect much of this, including Monmouth Taiko, to return this year, along with some changes, most notably the edition of a “passport” for students to record which country posters they visit. Completed passports will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win prizes. Other activities include a mariachi band, boba tea, henna, and more.
